Belgrade, 25. September – Belgrade Crowdfunding Convention: over 200 participants gathered in the Serbian capital to hear from well-known European, regional and local experts in the field of crowdfunding how they can finance their ideas, campaigns or products.
During last year alone, 700,000 dollars were collected through crowdfunding campaigns in Serbia, and over 570 crowdfunding initiatives have been launched so far, as shown by data of Brodoto social impact agency. Participants of the conference could hear about the most successful crowdfunding initiatives in Serbia, the region and Europe. The research Award-Based Crowdfunding, an analysis of the legal framework required to implement crowdfunding, was also presented.
The Convention was organised by the German-Serbian Initiative for Sustainable Growth and Employment, the Social Inclusion and Poverty Reduction Unit of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, the Heinrich Boell Fundation and Brodoto social impact agency.
